Puttin 'on Daubs

Puttin 'on Daubs - One day Edgar Payne was painted on the outside, away from any sign of habitation. He was surprised to find a man behind him, watching.

Then the man said, "Why is nuthin but Puttin 'on daubs"

Later, the man shook his head and said " but you sure do know where to put them daubs! "and walked away.
