Before continuing, here is the summary of Goodreads :.
"This morning break with Kady thought Ezra was the hardest thing she had to do
This afternoon, his planet was invaded.
year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war on a planet that is a little more than a grain ice cover at the edge of the universe. Too bad no one thought to warn people who live there . with enemy fire down on them, and Ezra-Kady who barely speak to each other, are forced to make their way on a fleet to evacuate, with a warship of the enemy in pursuit.
But their problems are just beginning a deadly plague has broken out and is changing, with terrifying results ;. fleet AI, which should protect them, can actually be their enemy, and person in charge will tell what actually happens as hacks Kady data in a tangle to find the truth, it is clear that one person can help bring all to light :. ex-boyfriend, she swore , it had never speak again.
told through a fascinating record of documents, including the hacked emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more- Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping, high-octane trilogy about life interrupted, the price of the truth and the courage of everyday heroes. "
I started reading Illuminae on New Years Eve, thinking that I had just read perhaps twenty pages and continue to read the rest the next day. So, I read twenty pages. Then I read two hundred more in the same evening. Because I legitimately could not stop reading.
Teens on two spacecraft, a mutationist, dangerous virus, an unforgettable IA and a loan to the enemy ship space destroy ever closer threat come together to make this book unputdownable.
I have not read a book materials found in a long time (maybe ever? ) but I must say, I loved format. the book is written in emails, instant messages, interviews, etc., and intense action and conflict from the outset that me from extraction through the pages. There are plenty of twists (some of which had to curse out loud as I read), many people are dying, so many scenes have broken my heart, and it was just incredibly good read.
Finally, a note on the screen: this book is nice with a really creative layout that made me literally flipping the book around to read two pages some differences. I confirmed with people who read the e-book version that formatting does not work almost as well in the electronic version, so if you get it, I highly recommend you get the printed version. It is a brick (nearly 0 pages), but the layout makes it possible a surprisingly quick read, and I promise you, it is worth
diversity Note:. All the major characters, as far as I can tell, were cishet and white with the exception of a Chinese character. There is more diversity with minor characters with both race and sexual orientation (mostly really minor characters, to be honest), but the performance was lacking in the big players apart from PTSD and other common mental health problems among victims of trauma.
