Focus on nature

Focus on nature - Yesterday in Albany we attended the opening of an exhibition of natural history art in the State Museum of New York called "Focus on nature X." the exhibition is held every two years and this is the 10th time the show was assembled.

My own painting showing T.rex to a water hole was accompanied by 93 other works by artists from 13 countries and 21 states in the United States, many of which are members of the Guild of Natural science Illustrators. the paintings of birds, insects, mammals and the plants are mainly in gouache and watercolor, plus some in pen and ink and scratchboard and oil.

Patricia Kernan, who helped organize the exhibition, hosted tours through the art collection of the natural history New York, which includes bird watercolor illustrations by Luis Agassiz Fuertes (1874-1927). Susan Bull Riley, an artist from Marlboro, Vermont, said:

The exhibition will continue until September 7, 08 "It is really impressive to see these originals after love these reproductions all my life.".
