I made many previous posts on sketches in the concerts. Usually the problem is how to work in the dark without bobbing your head or making unnecessary movements that could distract audience members around you.

I did this last night sketch of the second row in Olin Auditorium, Bard College, Annandale, New York. The house lights were in place so that I can really see what I was doing. The technique is a mixture of soluble rods in the color of water, watercolor, and casein.
James Bagwell was constantly in motion, of course, so I had to try to freeze laying in my short-term memory. The final concert will be December 18 at Fisher Center, Sosnoff Theater
