These Folditups cherry Only its easy and inexpensive

These Folditups cherry Only its easy and inexpensive -
Why am I called a cherry folditup, not a cake cherry, its correct culinary name? Because it looks like something that is easy to do, and we do not.

You may think it's silly to dumb-down the name just for a few more people watching YouTube will give it a try, but it is very important to me that these recipes are accessible to as many people as possible. Oh and by the way, did I mention you have to buy a pot of $ 18 cherries to do?

This is for all of the angle of accessibility. Yes, I did use cherries in the most exclusive pot of the world. Luxardo make is what they claim are the original maraschino cherries. The deep, candied black fruit is Marasca cherry syrup, and I find the taste and texture quite irresistible.

And no, I did not hit the lottery; I had these on hand because of some recipe testing I did for a client, and I could not think of a finer way to use them. If things go well, here's the Amazon link if you want to try LUXARDO cherries for yourself. However, as I say in the video, while cherry or other fruit pie filling to be working beautifully.

Regarding the crust will we have a few surprises for you. I decided to use whole wheat flour, as I wanted a paste which was a bit nutty and rough around the edges, and it did the trick. I also used the orange vodka I had in the freezer for some of the liquid in the dough.

I saw Alton Brown do, and apparently vodka adds moisture, but does not create gluten and somehow that makes a tender, flaky crust, or something like that. I can not be bothered to research more, but I can say he has done a hell of a crust.

Of course, if someone wants to go all food nerd on us and explain what happens at the molecular level I think we 'D while pretending to be interested. Have fun!

Update! I request that the whole wheat flour for this, but I want to tell you that I used the oxymoronically named King Arthur unbleached white whole wheat flour. It is a very light wheat flour, and can probably be simulated using 1/2 of ordinary wheat flour and white flour.

Ingredients:
6 oz whole wheat flour by weight (about 1 1/3 cups)
6 tablespoons ice cold butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup ice water (1 tablespoon more if using vodka)
1 tablespoon ice cold orange or vodka Typically, option
1 cup pie filling cherries
