Mazza Summer Conference

Mazza Summer Conference - Since its creation in 1982, the Mazza Museum of International Art of Picturebook in Findlay, Ohio has always been dedicated to its mission as a museum of education.

For schoolchildren, artists, teachers and librarians, it is a place of pilgrimage. Above: Raul Colon ..

Over the years , Mazza invited more artists and authors of children's books 300 to visit and talk. Every summer, the museum invites 15 frames top artists in a one-week conference attended by several hundred librarians and teachers.

I have had the privilege to take part this year, and Peter Brown, Raul Colon, and Keith Graves (above), and M. Sarah Klise, Will Moses, Jan Wahl, Bruce Langton, Julie Downing, Stacey Schuett, Brian Pinkney, Grace Lin and William Low (not shown).

Peter Brown shared how he was inspired to his recent book The Curious Garden.

Each of us gave a visual presentation and a workshop for a small group. Hey, this is the blog commentator Steve Gilzow right! Good to meet you, Steve.
