We have a lot of foam letters (they seem to be multiplying!) so my co-teacher decided to put them in our sensory table with some tweezers and some small colored containers exploration…

We develop our classroom so our children 2 and 3 years have much interaction with the letters.
They begin to notice the letters in their names, names of friends and words they encounter in their daily lives.

They begin to recognize letters and words in books.
And thus, we provide exposure throughout the classroom as exploration of the letters in this sensory table.

Assorted letters. assorted colors.

How many handles could fit in a container?

And then, that 2 years do best, pouring the letters on the sensory table. And because I spent a lot of years with this age group and I know that this is part of their development, I add a next box cover of the table so that he can collect the letters and they land.

So much to explore here!
