Voices of the Wilderness is an artist residency program sponsored by the US Forest Service, the National Park Service and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. They now accept the candidates for the 2013 season The program now has ten different wilderness areas across Alaska accommodation painters, sculptors, filmmakers and writers. The goal of each residence is "the experience of wild nature with a ranger and use your creativity as a voice for these wild places."
