Hip Hip Hurra Krøyer!

Hip Hip Hurra Krøyer! - The Arken Museum in Copenhagen presents an exhibition entitled "The painters of Skagen -In a new light," currently on display until June 1, 08.

main job of the show is called "Hip Hip Hooray!" by painter / Danish Norwegian Peder Krøyer, the leader of a kind of group of painters who gathered in the village of Skagen fishermen.

Krøyer, just like painters environment in France and in England Newlyn painters, mixed ideas of Impressionism with the skills of the traditional academic craft, he perfected in Léon Bonnat workshop in Paris.

above the small color study shows how the design looked like he was almost completely crystallized. Between this sketch and the final table he removed the man's hat with the glasses, and added a man with a light jacket leaning in the right image.

The current exhibition examines how Denmark Krøyer reached the feeling of a casual spontaneous composition "Hip, Hip, Hurra!", Which in fact was carefully staged and organized. The painting took him more than four years.

The details of the final table shows Krøyer principle would have learned from Bonnat, ie be careful not to violate the lights. The great light composed of the web, the dress of the girl and the woman on the right is expertly welded form, without interrupting dark accents. This unified structure makes a solid mass, simply holding the painting together despite a prodigious amount of detail.

Here, I made the final table and exaggerated tonal structure underlying. The form of light is an abstract unit that looks something like a butterfly. The woman's arm light extends upward of it right, and the black woman's arm comes in the form on the left. These two gestures are given salience compositional and they help us to recognize the theme of the image immediately

Two smaller luminous forms float like islands in the dark background of foliage :. The head of the woman left, and the cluster of revelers in the distance
