Preschool Alphabet Blocks

We like to provide literacy activities throughout our classroom, the Block Center is no exception. We often see books, clipboards with paper, crayons and markers. Last week, we turned our block center in a construction area of ​​the alphabet. Oh, the pleasure of 2 and 3 years to explore letters while building!

Displaying books in various areas of the classroom or at home encourages children to stop and open, or ask an adult to read to them. We like to see books that are relevant to the interests of that day. That day, the theme of our block center was "the construction of the alphabet."

We provided blocks of the alphabet as well as trucks. The kids had the pleasure of loading vehicles with the letters and place them in piles, then stack the blocks.

We took a big magnetic board and leaning against the wall. Magnetic letters were placed in baskets near blocks to place in trucks or on this board.
