Fade test

Fade test - On May 11, a little over three months ago, I put some color strips on a piece of card stock. I cut the paper in half. One half went in a cool, dark drawer and the other half in a south-facing window. When I restored the two parts, it was possible to see how each color faded.

The Caran d'Ache pencils color soluble in water fared surprisingly well. But markers faded considerably. The newspaper went from a light gray to yellowish brown.

The highlighter Sharpie Accent went through a strange transformation. He began a light fluorescent yellow. A few weeks later, it darkens as he lost the dye components that convert UV light to visible light. Finally, the yellow color disappeared completely.

The Standing Sharpie marker proves to be very stable.

Today I made a lot of new fans with oil, watercolor, pastel, marker, coloring, crayons, ballpoint pens, fountain pen inks and inks An ink jet printer. All you are curious to see put through the test?

A few months from now, I'll let you know how they come out.
