Registration for Master Class Illustration goes live today at 3:00.
The art workshop fantasy than a week will be held June 10th-16th 2013 in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Approximately 80 participants, using traditional and digital techniques, will choose one of five assigned illustrative subjects (things like "Joan of Arc", "ice giant," "Dragon Horde ", etc.). Students proceed to sketch at the end of the week under the direction of the group of faculty. Students will serious beginners to pros who work and who wish to develop their skills. In addition to science fiction, and concept art, there is also a big welcome to those who want to explore a graphic novel or book solution for children.
This year, the faculty includes: Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Rebecca Guay, Donato Giancola, Greg Manchess (above), Dan DosSantos, Scott Fischer, Irene Gallo, Iain McCaig with special guest Mike Mignola three days of the week. I will also join for two days (two conferences, a demo, and a visit to (hopefully) each and the working space for each student).
The meals and accommodations are included with tuition $ 2250. You stay in the dorms chic students from Amherst College. In addition to work, there are always fun things going on lectures, demonstrations, book signings, sketches caricature, mock battles in armor, ice races and games of Frisbee. In other words, bonding and inspiration that changes lives.
