One of the best color sorting activities is looking around the classroom (or home) and to find objects of certain colors.

I loved this sort of activity colors that my co-teacher put together for our preschool camp mixed age. It was part of our program during all four days of our rainbow Camp.

Teacher Susan has invited children to paint different colors of display panels rainbow.

Working independently...

...and to work together.


Once they have dried, we went on a class color hunt!



They were found all around the classroom, including the game of Bath dough!

During this process, they noticed that some objects had multiple colors, so they had to decide which shows the color it should go on.

In Finally, we learned that we had more blue items than anything else.
And then it was time to put away....
