Bench

Bench - This sketch on site since the early 1980s was made with a brush pen on drawing paper. All in the shadow goes black, and all the light goes to white, ignoring the contour lines delimiting the bright side.
The technique is a good way to simplify the detail. Each figure is an edge-lit silhouette. I worked from left to right, the realization of every man before starting the next, because I foresaw that subjects can come and go unexpectedly
