Taking self-care Days

I am a workaholic. This is a disadvantage, I guess, of (usually) enjoying the work that you do, I work in a field that I love (editing), and get to spend many hours a day immersed in worlds I create in other people's worlds created in blog posts and manuscripts and books, and it is a surprise to some person who knows that I am immersed in my work.

(This is also a disadvantage, I guess, to work for myself. There is not to say, "hey, you've done enough work today, go home and relax. ")

so, shortly after my college graduation, I went to if I was not careful, I was working myself into the ground. so I ' appointed a day weekly self-care a day when I'm not allowed to do any work; do not answer emails, do not write, do not drawing a fitting date is work without strictly.

So what should I do that day? I read a lot, mostly. and watch Hulu / Netflix and play Assassin's Creed or Sims 4 , or Civilization V when I'm in the mood. and go out and talk with my bestie, and doing all sorts of things that do not involve work, all the day.

There is a beautiful thing, and I think it helped, because come Monday (my day off is usually Sunday) I'm ready to dive for work again.

I really do think it's important to take time for yourself when you can. Writers are notoriously overworkers-many of hurry writing during free periods or between minute work day or school, or family, or all of the above, or, or, or and it can be so easy to forget to take care of yourself.

here is your reminder to take time off for yourself, too, whatever that means. It is important. You are important.

Do you take days of self-care? What do you enjoy doing in your spare time at work?
