When I started as a freelance illustrator, I did some cover designs for Activision and Atari.
This is what the graphics of the screen like for a game called River Raid, where you fly a jet to a river and shoot the helicopters and ships.
the idea of the art of packaging was developed 3D fantasy the player's imagination. I painted the original oil.
Galaga and Galaxians had tables bug monsters like swarming overhead and drop bombs on you.
Although there were the original versions of the game, we had to play the arcade version to see the latest levels. I'm not very good at playing the game, so I went to the arcade and quarters offered to children who were good at it. I said all I wanted to do was watch them play and outline the monsters. When I returned the next day there was a whole line of children with their hands on. I do not know if I would do it now.
This is one of the oil paintings I did for Galaga. I do not know where it is placed in the press, but it was fun to paint.
I think it was for Galaxians. The painting is in oil, about 16 x 20. As there was plenty of room for imaginative development, I chose a more comic book look.
A new book is about to be released called Art Atari
