Fine Motor Butterfly Craft

Fine Motor Butterfly Craft -

I love the arts that involve few steps and get these little fingers working, so I am very happy when my co-teacher introduced this motor butterfly fine art for our 2 years class!

Materials used :.

  • liquid watercolors
  • wide brushes
  • coffee filters commercial size
  • pipe cleaners
  • pearl
  • "doll pin" clothespins

We invited the children to paint their coffee filters. The broader brushes it easier to cover more surface.

We used filters of commercial size coffee so that our butterflies have greater wings.

We leaves dry.

And then it was time to assemble!

We used "doll pins" clothespins.

Bunch coffee filters and drag them to the doll pins.

And then fine motor skills begins!

Because it is the end of the school year and most of our 2s class turned 3, we had put on the pipe cleaners with pony beads. (These will be the antennae.)

For our young children, we had the use of chopped straw pieces.

We then wrapped the pipe cleaner around the top of the headstock spindle and said hello to our butterflies!
