Children Table water Activities

Children Table water Activities -


We love to develop the activities of the water table for children throughout the year, inside and outside. Water is soothing, and no matter what is said, many developing fine motor skills necessary to work. Here are some items we have added to our water table that our toddlers and preschoolers have loved!

Add containers and plastic insects (or animals).

Depending on the time of year and our theme, we like to add these little creatures explore.




















Provide turkey basters to squirt water.


Squeezing and releasing the bulb is great for fine motor skills development.








Washing Legos.


Fill the water pan with a little warm soapy water, add Legos, and their little fingers do the rest.




Put set a scene in the pond with frogs and rocks.


This is a favorite of ours in the spring during our unity of nature. We made lily pads from green foam paper. Add tweezers to move the lily pads around.



Funnels are fun.


We added golf balls as a lesson on what could and could not make it through the 'funnel hole.




Save Easter eggs these plastic scraps for water all year pouring.


They are perfect for scooping water and fit nicely in small children ' hands.



Boats are a good addition to the water table.


Provide other items that can go in the boats as a lesson on the float and sink.





Add water ice pieces with basters.


Even more fun if you place smaller items in the front window freezing!



Pour water through PVC pipe pieces.


Add small balls for more fun.





Sometimes it really that simple warm sparkling water and cups.


Very quiet, especially for a child who needs some calming.












Add some rubber ducks in this hot water.


Almost like a bubble bath!
