As I mentioned in the video, best part of a coffee cake is crispy, crunchy, butter crumbs; So we have increased significantly the amounts used. I do not know why everyone does not do it ... maybe their health? Regardless, it creates what I think is the cake of coffee experience "ultimate".
This recipe is really foolproof, but the mind your cooking time. I used an "x 12" casserole 8 iron, and it took about 35 minutes, but times vary for glass dishes, as well as the slightly larger dishes like classic 9 "x 13." Ingredients for 8 to 12 servings:
For the bread:
1/3 cup white sugar
cinnamon 1 teaspoon
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
For the cake:
1/2 cup butter at room temperature
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla coffee
1 cup sour cream or cream
1 7/8 cups all-purpose flour (Almost 2 cups. Do not pack the cups. Spread gently.)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 / 4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
