We this month explored the winter, the cold and ice, so I thought it would be fun for our 2 year old to paint on ice…

I was inspired by this post by child Approved.

So, I placed the ice shelves bleached on our art table and added a few drops of white and blue tempera paint.

The art of the table remained empty for a while. Finally, a child came to check things and more put together. That's how it is with our children of 2 years. They kind of travel together.

As they moved around the painting above the ice, they noticed puddles forming.

They mix colors when transferring paint their paper.

Slowly the plateau turned into watercolors.
(And note, that little had trouble saying goodbye to his dad, so he gave him his reading glasses. She wore them everywhere she can see went. You next to the tray paint.)

A little science. A little fine motor skills. A little creativity. Many fun!
